Men’s Ring Inspiration

Hooray!  I’m so excited to be working on a new men’s wedding ring collection.  I’ve been covered in wax this week churning out designs.   It feels great to see the ideas that have been rolling around in my mind slowly take form.

For those of you that aren’t familiar, these wax carvings will be turned into metal via a jewelry process called lost wax casting.  I’ll be sure to share the designs with you once they are cast as it can sometime be hard to imagine them in metal.

Here’s the designs from this week along with a few reference photos that I’ve taken.  If you’d like to follow along on my daily progress, follow me on Instagram.

Concrete Ring

Boulder Ring

These rock cliffs from my most recent family trip/hike to Yosemite have been on my mind.

Building Blocks

A cool brick building on a random street while exploring Lucerne, Switzerland last year.

Moon and Crater Ring

Reference shot from Haleakala in Maui, where the summit really looks like the surface of the moon.

Wood Grain Ring

Macro shot of this amazing tree from Mariposa Grove in Yosemite.

Off Set Knife Edge Ring

No specific inspiration here other than thinking of clean and minimal modern design from Scandinavia (my favorite!).  Here’s a snap from The Paustian, an amazing design and furniture store in Copenhagen.

Square Signet Ring

A little twist to the classic signet ring in a modern rectangle shape.
